Transparent moment for Single women; Well, yesturday I saw the most beautiful video setting for an engagement in California in an elegant restaurant of fine dining. And y’all know how I am about fine dining food that is right up my alley of my style!!
It was a woman’s hand showing a big diamond and the post read “she said yes” . Which I am so very happy for him.
I have not seen him post since Valentine’s Day and that was like a very extravagant post because he is all into food like I am, and he is always posting a lot of restaurants and fine dining places. Sometimes there will be a female in the picture and sometimes there won’t. But nothing shows personal. So you don’t know if it’s just friendship business sister or what.
It wouldn’t be much of a big deal but the post was from a guy that I was interested in at one time a few years ago when he lived in Charlotte. I have nothing in common with him other than an interest at one time and we just talked. It was like one of those getting to know you - we never got personal.
Actually, we didn’t even go on a date. He bought Chick-fil-A and had it delivered to the penthouse that was overlooking the skyline. And we watched
La La Land because that was his favorite movie. I drove two hours just to see if I would be interested in him. ( yeah I’m one of them Women - I don’t mind the investment if I think it’s a possibility) We never really clicked and it kind of shifted to a business connection a few times but then he moved to California for film school and we lost touch.
But since he’s engaged now, and we don’t have any interest in business so there you go - block. Social media for me is purpose not just to scroll and view.
I’m telling as a single woman in focus today I don’t have time to sit here and let myself or anyone else take up space on social media when I have no interest in that person anymore or that person doesn’t have interest in me.
When I saw the video, I’m not going to lie. It was a dream engagement. Some people get fine Dining and some people get Chick-fil-A….. everybody has choices. I’m not bothered because I wasn't his choice and he wasn’t mine. A man or woman will invest when they are ready!
God knows my heart. He knows my desires. And then just a few minutes before I saw this guys post, I received a text from a dear friend randomly that took me back to remember the way I felt honored & respected when we dated a few years ago. He treated me the same way I saw in this guys posts. So that reminds me to stay focused because the “right one” will show up when it’s time….
I thank God for the little moments he gives me to remember to hold onto what my heart desire is because in due time, I will receive.
I share transparency in hopes that the ladies will remember to never settle for less than what you desire. If youre not someone’s choice, its okay, because that just means someone else is out here for you!
