“Uniquely His”
Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s handy work, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
I have always known there was something different about me. I labeled myself as a misfit because I chose to see how I was brought into this world as a negative being. My parents had me at age 16 and I was told if abortion was legal, I probably wouldn’t be here. But as my mother and father both tell me, there was a plan. My parents didn’t last more than a year married. Although a wonderful new man entered my life as my dad, and family showered me with love, I still felt unworthy.
However, over the years I began to see the value of who I really am in a positive way.
See, though I was the product of a teenage crush, God saw me as his own. God didn’t see me as a misfit, he saw me as his masterpiece created in his image to do great things.
I always thought because I couldn’t play a harmony instrument, sing to a tune or play a fantastic sport meant that I really didn’t have a reason for being.
At age 18 one night, after being recently married, I tried to take a bottle of pills to cancel my life. Fortunately, I woke up the next morning! I didn’t understand so I kept going through life empty and without purpose. And one day several years later, I realized this meaningless life had purpose! As I think back I can’t remember the specifics, but I do know that I charged myself to read books and devotionals, listen to positive affirmation messages and surround myself with people of vision and goals.
Doing life this way, shifted my thinking. I was beginning to understand that my “talents” weren’t the most valuable to God, but it was the “gift within” and that was my voice!
I began speaking at events, hosting events and mentoring others with my positive words. I realized people needed to hear a sound of hope and life. God showed me that I was created for purpose despite my thoughts of not having anything to offer. It took many years, but finally I realized I was uniquely designed just as he had planned. My words my story may reach some and your words your story may reach the ones I can’t reach.
I believe everyone has a purpose for this life. And yes, that includes who you are! You are are uniquely His and I challenge you to search your heart deep inside to discover the potential of purpose inside.
The confidence of hope is awaiting the release for you to do the good things God had planned for your life.
My prayer for you the reader is that you recognize the potential within so that the purpose is discovered and exposed in your life with heart felt passion. It’s your time to shine, and the world is waiting on you! Focus Forward in your dreams and choose to believe what you think with action! You are uniquely His created for more than you could ever imagine.
Somebody needs to hear this. Sometimes we just need someone else’s story to be our reminder that we are over-comers and we still have purpose! We fall down we make mistakes... but we must get back up & keep going forward!! Someone somewhere is waiting on YOU to do what you have been called to do!! #Mystory #Yourstory #moretocome #bethespark #PathwaytoHISPurpose #knowwhoyouare #Yourlifematters #someoneiswaitingonyou
