Hey there, Robin here! I don’t know about you but it seems like if something could go wrong it will. But one thing I know As I shared yesterday these obstacles we face are meant to grow us. I’ve learned over the years that choosing to focus on the positive side of a bad situation, seems to give me a sense of peace as well as helps me to be more open minded.
Example, for two weeks now, I’ve been stuck at home in a knee brace and using a walker. I’m limited with mobility. Being shut in, I’ve Had time to observe the way my life has been over the last few years of being in a fast pace me. Slowing down is a challenge however it is definitely necessary. Instead of looking at the negative part of slowing down is giving me an opportunity to take inventory of everything I’m connected to. And whew! It’s a lot!
So I’ve made a decision to choose the positive side of this awkward situation. I’ve been able to catch up on phone calls and emails and start these focused Friday motivational messages that I’ve been delaying for months.
Now, I don’t expect you to take days and weeks off like I’m having to do but I do encourage you to take at least a day or two for yourself to evaluate are you really wasting time or are you being productive with everything that you are connected to.
My challenge for you this weekend is to take one day to write down a list of everything you do in a day. Visuals are good to use because it helps you keep memory. Make a check off list and do this for a week. At the end of the week look and see what you did not check off.
Then make a decision.
Was the item that you did not check off something that should not be on the list in the first place?
Was it really a priority and if so why didn’t you check it off?
Sometime we get so busy and we come up with negative excuses why we cannot complete a task and then we become grumpy! And nobody wants to be around that, Right?
I want you to be positive to know any test that you set for yourself is not greater than the power within you to complete it.
I hope you have a great weekend my friend and choose to keep focusing forward and everything that you do with a think believe and achieve mindset!
Focus Forward with Robin
